NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST WAIVER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Centralia Elementary School District at its regular board meeting to be held at 5:30 p.m. on June 16, 2015, at the Walter Knott Education Center located at 7300 La Palma Avenue, Buena Park, California 90620, will consider seeking a waiver from the State Board of Education of the requirement that the establishment of trustee areas and adoption of a “by trustee area” election process be submitted to the electors as set forth in Education Code §§ 5019 and 5020 and of the requirement that the County Committee on School District Organization determine by lot which vacant trustee areas shall elect next as set forth in § 5021.  The Board invites public testimony regarding this matter.

To report student absences, please call (714) 228-3240, choose option #1, and provide the following information:

  • Student's full name
  • Room # & Teacher's name
  • Date(s) the student is absent 
  • Reason for the absence
  • Parent name and phone number
